HISTORY

The Vikes started in Spring 2019 in North Kitsap as a coed youth mountain bike club focused on getting interested riders and parents together for group rides, participating in bike races and other events, and helping build and maintain trails in our community.

BECOME A VIKE!

Registration is seasonally through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation. Riders must have their own multi-gear mountain bike. Riders are required to wear a helmet and eye protection on group rides, and to show up with a snack and water appropriate for the ride length. We encourage all riders to carry a spare tube and multi-tool or other equipment for basic trailside maintenance. Each rider and parent is required to sign a Vikes Code of Conduct and an insurance waiver to participate. Parents interested in joining the group as ride leaders can submit a WSP background check form to Poulsbo Parks and Rec. All coaches and ride leaders are volunteers.
