Mountain Vikes

We are a coed USA Cycling youth bike club of 6-12th grade riders who like to bike on trails at Port Gamble and other awesome places around Puget Sound! We also give back by helping build and maintain local trails with Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and North Kitsap Trails Association. Riders participate in race events with Bell Lap Productions Westside Series, NW Epic Series, Cascadia Dirt Cup/Youth Enduro Series, NW Dirt Cup, and others. Registration is required through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation to join up and attend group events. Grab your mountain bike and come for a ride! 

Life is better on a bike! 

We participate in group rides twice a week from early spring through late fall. Some rides include instruction with certified coaches to improve specific skills or learn advanced techniques. All training and skills-building is geared toward making biking more fun for each rider. Improved skills equal better performance and a better biking experience! Our group rides are not races, they are social events designed to build the local mountain bike community. Some riding experience is helpful as group rides generally cover 10-12 miles of XC trails. We are here to have a great time and encourage the next generation of mountain bikers to get out riding, while challenging them to improve and teaching the importance of giving back to our local trails. The club also participates in fundraising activities to help buy gear or cover costs associated with travel, races, jerseys, etc.
